Students and alumni
1.- You can access the request form here and also from the Requests menu in the DESCUBRE catalog.
2.- First of all, you need to identify yourself with the username and password provided by the University.
3.- Then, fill out the form with as much information as possible. In “Notes”, please include any relevant information that could help us prioritize your request (recommended reading list, texts for exploring a certain area in greater depth, insufficient number of copies at present, etc.).
4.- The LRC Library will contact School representatives to ask them whether or not the acquisition should be authorized.
5.- The LRC Library will inform the student/alumnus of the decision to accept or turn down the acquisition request.
6.- After we receive the requested item at the LRC Library, we will send you an email informing you of its arrival and telling you how to reserve the item once it has been catalogued and classified.
Faculty and Staff
1.- You can access the request form here and also from the Requests menu in the DESCUBRE catalog.
2.- First of all, you need to identify yourself with the username and password provided by the University.
3.- Then, fill out the form stating the name of the person who will authorize the acquisition. Please download the template, enter the titles you would like us to acquire, include any relevant information that could help us prioritize your request (recommended reading list, texts for exploring a certain area in greater depth, insufficient number of copies at present, etc.) and attach it to the form in the corresponding field.
4.- We will send you acknowledgement of receipt of your request, and within 24-48 hours we will ask the person indicated in the form to authorize the acquisition.
5.- Once we have received this person’s decision, we will inform you accordingly and, if appropriate, start the acquisition process.
6.- After we receive the requested item at the LRC Library, we will send you an email informing you of its arrival and telling you how to reserve the item once it has been catalogued and classified.
