    Loans

    All items included in the print and audiovisual collections are available for loan except for: reference works, manuals labeled “for use in library only”, serial publications, singular works (old and rare books, graduation projects, master’s theses, doctoral dissertations), iPads* and VHS videos, which can be used on the CRAI Library premises. The user is responsible for the looking after and returning loaned items in accordance with the library’s rules and regulations.

    *Faculty and staff members may request the loan of iPads for university activities by completing this form.

    To use the loan service you must:
    • Belong to the university community of Universidad Europea de Madrid.
    • Present your University card or a personal ID document (national identity card, passport, driver’s license). These documents are personal and non-transferable.
    • Not be subject to a penalty for infringing the Rules and Regulations

    Maximum number of loan items per user type:

    • Recommended reading list items and manuals: 7/3 days
    • Specialized monographs: 15 days
    • E-readers and audiobooks: 15 days
    • Films, documentaries, and music: 3 days

    Maximum number of loan items per user type:

    • Undergraduate/Advanced Career and Technical Education students: 10
    • Master’s or doctoral students: 15
    • Faculty: 20
    • Alumni: 3
  • This service can only be used by researchers, professors, third-cycle students to obtain documents that are not included in our bibliographic collections and are needed to undertake their research.
    To process a request, we need several pieces of data, those corresponding to the requester are required, and with respect to the documents, your references must be as complete as possible, indicating all known data and/or comments that could help locate a document. For special requests (such as lists of several references), it is recommendable to contact the LRC Library in advance.

    An average of 1,200 requests are processed each year, most corresponding to articles published in academic journals that are provided by other libraries. The LRC Library uses programs dedicated to this task that significantly shorten the delivery time for the documents from the moment they are requested. The time is usually 2-4 days, depending on the center that makes the request.

    The real-time online reference service enables members of the university community to resolve queries and questions on different aspects of the LRC library resources and services. To offer the best support, this service is provided only by specialized librarians.

  • The LRC Library team manages the permissions and rights necessary to use materials (books, book chapters, journal articles, media news, logos, photographs, videos and more) generated by third parties, acting as an intermediary between the teachers and the owners of the usage rights for the materials recommended and/or used in their programs that are subject to Intellectual Property laws. This form is used to request these permissions and to analyze their viability or to answer questions on the use of content subject to intellectual property.
